The Bulls led by two points with nine seconds left in regulation when the Pistons were called for an “excess timeout technical foul”, which gave Chicago a free throw and the ball. Zach LaVine buried the tech, and DeMar DeRozan made his free throws on the ensuing possession to seal the win for the Bulls. LaVine led all scorers with 41 points while DeRozan netted 21 of his own. Chicago is now 11th in the East with a 29-and-34 record. The Bulls host Phoenix tomorrow.

(South Bend, IN) — The Notre Dame Fighting Irish knocked off number-25 Pitt 88-81 at Joyce Center yesterday. The Irish took a 14 point lead at halftime after holding Pittsburgh to just 28 points. Notre Dame never trailed in the second half. Cormac Ryan and Marcus Hammond both scored 20 points in the victory. The Fighting Irish are now 3-and-16 in the ACC and 11-and-19 overall. They wrap up the regular season against Clemson on Saturday.

(Evanston, IL) — The Northwestern Wildcats are on a three-game losing streak following a 68-65 overtime loss to Penn State at Welsh Ryan Arena. The Wildcats gave up a go-ahead three right before the buzzer, and Boo Buie missed a desperation heave as time expired. Buie scored 20 points in the losing effort. Northwestern dropped to 20-and-10 overall and 11-and-8 in the Big Ten. The Wildcats visit Rutgers to wrap up the regular season on Sunday.
