In Local Sports, in boys high school hoops action, Serena defeated Chicago Ellison 50-29 to advance to the Sectional Championship. Braxton Hart led with 13 and Richie Armour added 12. Princeton rolled Riverdale 77-40 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen as well. 

>>Bulls Fall To Raptors

(Toronto, ON)  —  The Bulls had their two-game winning streak snapped with a 104-98 loss to the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. Nikola Vucevic led Chicago with 23 points in the losing effort.  The Bulls remain in 11th-place in the Eastern Conference at 28-and-34.  Chicago visits Detroit tonight.  In other team news, the Bulls waived guard Goran Dragic yesterday.

>>Blackhawks Lose To Coyotes

(Tempe, AZ)  —  The Blackhawks didn’t get on the board until the final 90 seconds of their 4-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena.  The Blackhawks gave up the first four goals of the game and never had a real shot of coming back. Chicago remains at the bottom of the Central Division with 47 points and a 21-34-and-5 record.  The Blackhawks host Dallas tomorrow night.

>>Blackhawks Trade Patrick Kane To Rangers

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Patrick Kane-era of Blackhawks hockey has come to an end.  Chicago traded the legendary forward to the New York Rangers yesterday.  In return, the Blackhawks received a conditional second-round pick and a fourth-round pick.  The second-rounder will become a first-rounder if the Rangers make the Eastern Conference finals, but that pick would be in 2024 or 2025.  The Blackhawks are also retaining 50-percent of Kane’s salary.  The 34-year-old Kane led Chicago to three Stanley Cup victories and is in the final year of an eight-year deal.

>>White Sox Beat Diamondbacks

(Scottsdale, AZ)  —  The Chicago White Sox took down the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-1 in Spring Training yesterday.  Ace reliever Kendall Graveman tossed a scoreless inning during the victory.  Seby Zavala had a home run and two RBI.  The Southsiders are 2-and-2 in exhibition play, and they host Cleveland today.

>>Cubs Go Down Against Brewers

(Phoenix, AZ)  —  The Chicago Cubs fell to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3 in Spring Training yesterday.  Drew Smyly gave up two runs in two innings of work to get tagged with the loss.  Nelson Velazquez hit a home run in the losing effort.  The Cubs are 1-and-4 in Spring Training.  Hayden Wesneski takes the mound for Chicago against Seattle today.

>>Northwestern Hosts Penn State

(Evanston, IL)  —  The Northwestern Wildcats aim to avoid their third consecutive loss when they host Penn State at Welsh-Ryan Arena tonight.  The Wildcats lost to number-24 Maryland 75-59 on Sunday to fall to 11-and-7 in the Big Ten and 20-and-9 overall.  Northwestern is tied for second-place in the Big Ten.  .

>>Notre Dame Takes On Pitt

(South Bend, IN)  —  The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will try to snap a seven-game losing streak when they host number-25 Pitt at Joyce Center tonight.  Notre Dame is coming off a 66-58 loss to Wake Forest on Saturday.  The Irish are in 14th-place in the ACC with a 2-and-16 conference record and a 10-and-19 mark overall.

>>College Basketball Roundup

(Undated)  —  In college hoops action yesterday, Northern Illinois lost to Buffalo 85-75.  Tonight, DePaul visits number-18 UConn.
