In Local Sports, in boys high school hoops action, Serena will take on Chicago CICS in the Sectional semi-final and Princeton will take on Riverdale in the Class 2A Sectional semi-final. In girls high school hoops, Serena fell to St. Thomas More 56-35 in the Class 1A Super-Sectional. Paisley Twait led with 11 and Makayla McNally and Reese Cole added eight apiece.

>>Blackhawks Fall To Ducks   

(Anaheim, CA)  —  The Blackhawks had their five-game winning streak snapped with a 4-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center.  The Blackhawks remain in last place in the Central Division with 47 points and a 21-33-and-5 record.  Chicago visits Arizona tonight.  In other team news, the Blackhawks traded defenseman Jack McCabe and forward Sam Lafferty to Toronto in exchange for a 2025 first-round pick and forwards Joey Anderson and Pavel Govolev. 

>>Bulls Visit Raptors 

(Toronto, Ontario)  —  The Bulls seek their third win in a row when they visit the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena tonight.  The Bulls are coming off a 102-82 win over the Washington Wizards on Sunday.  Chicago is in 11th-place in the Eastern Conference at 28-and-33.   

>>Report: Bears Likely To Trade First Overall Pick 

(Lake Forest, IL)  —  The number-one pick in the 2023 NFL draft might be for sale.  ESPN is reporting that the Chicago Bears are “leaning toward” trading away the first overall selection.  The report adds that Chicago has already had conversations with a number of teams about the selection.  The number-one pick has been dealt 12 times since 1967. 

>>White Sox Crush Mariners 

(Glendale, AZ)  —  The White Sox gave up just four hits in a 10-1 rout of the Seattle Mariners in Spring Training.  Tim Anderson had a double and an RBI in the victory.  The White Sox are 1-and-2 in exhibition play, and they take on the Diamondbacks today. 

>>Suzuki Drops Out Of World Baseball Classic 

(Mesa, AZ)  —  Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki is opting out of the World Baseball Classic next month.  Suzuki is dealing with a left oblique injury, and he told Team Japan yesterday that he wants to give it time to heal for the start of the regular season.  In other team news, the Cubs lost both of their split-squad Spring Training Games yesterday.  The Cubs play against Milwaukee today. 

>>College Basketball Roundup 

(Undated)  —  In college hoops action today, Northern Illinois hosts Buffalo.  In other college basketball news, Northwestern dropped out of the top-25 in yesterday’s coaches poll.
