The Ottawa High School District is buying a house. The school board last night approved the $148,000 purchase price for the home east of the school and north of the student parking lot. The school district already owns the lots surrounding it on that side of the block. Mike Cushing says this is the first property purchase since he became superintendent.
The land could eventually be used as a parking lot, a buffer between the school and the rest of the neighborhood, or uses not known yet.
