Ahead of the Green St. project, Ottawa City Hall has worked out agreements with the owners of two pieces of land in the area. One is for an easement to let the city use some of the land. The other is for tree removal. The city will have a contractor raise the street in the area of Shoreline Boat Club and build a passage under the street to let high water flow through. The state’s covering 80% of the estimated $3.4 million cost. Keeping Green St. open means the east side won’t be isolated during floods.
