Three controlled fires got out of control in LaSalle County yesterday. One fire was west of Illinois 23 north of the Pines Motel north of Streator. Another was along the Morris Blacktop northwest of Marseilles. And another was on County Highway 13 a few miles north of LaSalle. Marseilles fire fighters handled a slightly different problem. A train throwing sparks on the way through the city set off some brush fires along the track.
