Five staff members in the Ottawa Elementary School District were honored with awards for the good work they do in the district. Keisha Sanders and Carrie Price were given Kid’s First Awards. Sanders teaches music. Price is the principal at Central Intermediate School. Other staff members were given Illinois State Board of Education Awards.
School Board Member Maribeth Manigold was awarded in the Community Service Category, Christine Bucciarelli won in the Administrator Category, and Alecia Reese was awarded in the Student Support Category. Supt. Michelle Lee says the staff will be recognized at the ISBE’s Those Who Excel Banquet in Bloomington in April.
