Karen Harmon
1965 – 2023
Karen Harmon, 57, of Lanark, formerly of Ottawa, passed away on Thursday morning, February 16, 2023.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. Nicolas Wilson, of the Ottawa Catholic Parishes officiating. Visitation will be from 12 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Columba Cemetery on a later date.
Karen was born on March 18, 1965 in Ottawa to Keith and Penny (Bayer) Harmon. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School and later received her Associate’s Degree in Applied Health Care. She worked as a dental hygienist. Karen’s favorite hobby was quilting and she was a member of many quilting guilds. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by three children, Brandon Harmon of Lanark, IL, Jennifer Eich of Milledgeville, IL, and Dillion (Keali) Eich of Shannon, IL; seven grandchildren, Tori Gabbard 12, Julian Gabbard 8, River Much 1, Summer Much 6 months, Dex Eich 4, Kamry Eich 3, and JoJo Eich 5 months; a brother, Keith (Staci) Harmon of Denver, CO, and two nephews, Cole and Luke Harmon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a sister Kristy.
