In Local Sports, tonight right here on 1430 WCMY and 93.5 FM the Ottawa Lady Pirates will take on Geneseo in the Regional Championship game at Kingman Gym. Tip is scheduled for 7 with the broadcast beginning at 6:50. In high school girls hoops, Newark beat Putnam 48-23 to capture a regional championship and the Serena Lady Huskers defeated Marquette 41-37 to win the regional. Jenna Setchell led with 18 for Serena. 

>>Bulls Lose Sixth Straight To Bucks

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Bulls weren’t able to take advantage of an injured Bucks team and lost to Milwaukee 112-100 in Chicago.  Nikola Vucevic led the team with 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for a double-double while Zach LaVine netted 18 points.  Bucks’ star Giannis Antetokounmpo left the game with a sprained wrist after playing just nine minutes.  The team has lost six straight games heading into the All-Star break.  DeMar DeRozan will represent Chicago in the midseason classic in Salt Lake City on Sunday. 

>>Bulls Interested In Westbrook

(Chicago, IL)  —  Meanwhile, the Bulls are showing interest in a veteran point guard.  ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Russell Westbrook has communicated with the Bulls, Clippers, Wizards and Heat about possible buyout destinations.  The guard is averaging just under 16 points and 7-and-a-half assists per game with the Lakers this season.  The nine-time All-Star is shooting 41-percent from the floor.

>>Blackhawks Play Senators On Road Tonight

(Ottawa)  —  The Blackhawks will try to bounce back on the ice tonight when they face off against the Senators in Ottawa.  The team is oh-and-three on the current Canada trip with losses to the Jets, Canadiens and Maple Leafs.  Chicago has been outscored 13-3 during that span.  The Hawks are 16-32-and-5 on the season and are last in the Central with 37 points.

(Undated) Several other schools return to the hardwood tomorrow.  Illinois State heads to Indiana State in the afternoon.  Illinois will hit the road to play Number-15 Indiana.  Notre Dame will try to snap its four-game losing streak when it visits Number-6 Virginia.  DePaul are at Number-16 Xavier and Northern Illinois plays host to Miami Ohio in the evening.  On Sunday, Bradley will play Southern Illinois on the road, and Northwestern plays host to Iowa in the evening.
