An Ottawa woman says she has suffered emotional distress, public embarrassment, and reputational harm because of Ottawa police. Suing the city under the name Jane Doe, she claims police have been circulating pictures of her nude at the police station. She’d been arrested in a traffic case on April 24 and police station cameras captured the images, according to the complaint filed in a federal court. She claims three police officers, Police Chief Brent Roalson, and City Commissioner James Less got the pictures and distributed them. They and the city haven’t filed a reply yet.
