St. Sen. Sue Rezin says it’s good for Gov. Pritzker to acknowledge the importance of child care. The Morris Republican is the minority spokesperson for the Illinois Senate Early Childhood Education Committee. She says she looks forward to working on ideas and solutions to help hard working families struggling to find child care. But Rezin’s concerned that Pritzker’s budget proposal will lead Illinois to a fiscal cliff. She says the proposal increases permanent spending by $3 billion and will spend the state into a permanent tax increase. Rezin says Illinoisans will pay a hefty price if the state commits to so much spending and there’s a deep recession.
