Illinois 16th District Cong. Darin LaHood is the new chairman of the US House Intelligence NSA and Cyber subcommittee. The subcommittee has jurisdiction related to the National Security Agency and Central Security Services. LaHood says the nation faces growing cybersecurity threats and challenges from around the globe including China, Russia, and Iran. He was appointed by Ohio Rep. and Chairman of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Mike Turner. LaHood will also serve on the subcommittee on National Intelligence Enterprise.
