LaSalle County Leasing Group gets a special use permit for a rail terminal. The company will build it by the railroad track near the Interstate 39 and U.S. 52 intersection northeast of Troy Grove. It could send sand, grain, and other materials in and out of the area via freight train. County Board members approved the permit last week after some members tabled it last month. They wanted to know more about the land’s agricultural value before letting it become something other than a farm.
