A woman in her 80’s died from COVID-19 this week in LaSalle County. The LaSalle County Health Department says hers is the 510th death in the county from COVID so far. Although new cases went up this week, current cases fell for a fifth straight week. The health department reported 86 new cases this week and 129 recoveries. There have been a total of 36,624 new cases so far with 35,785 recoveries. There were 839 current cases this week. LaSalle County remains in the low community spread level according to the Centers for Disease Control.
