In Local Sports, tonight right here on 1430 WCMY and 93.5 FM the Ottawa Pirates will take on the Lasalle-Peru Cavaliers at historic Kingman Gym. Tip is scheduled for 7 with the broadcast beginning at 6:50. In local girls high school hoops, Streator fell to Pontiac 61-32, St. Bede defeated Colfax-Ridgeview 44-42, and Lasalle-Peru rolled Hall 63-35. In other local sports, the Shepherd 7th and 8th grade volleyball team picked up wins over Sandwich. Leading the 7th grade was Meredith Waldron with 10 points and Zoey Torres chipped in eight. For the 8th grade Kendall Biba had 10 points and one kill. Piper Lewis added eight points and two digs. 

>>Bulls Falter Down The Stretch

(Brooklyn, NY)  —  The Bulls flamed out in the fourth quarter of their 116-105 loss to the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.  The Bulls led by five entering the final frame, but they were outscored 37-21 to end the game.  Zach LaVine poured in 38 points in the losing effort.  The Bulls are in ninth-place in the Eastern Conference at 26-and-29.  They visit Cleveland tomorrow night.

>>Blackhawks Host Coyotes

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Blackhawks aim to avoid a third consecutive loss when they host the Arizona Coyotes at United Center tonight.  The Blackhawks were defeated by the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday night.  Chicago is in last place in the Central Division with 35 points and a 15-29-and-5 record..

>>Northwestern Takes Down Ohio State

(Columbus, OH)  —  The Northwestern Wildcats held off the Ohio State Buckeyes during a 69-63 win at Value City Arena. Boo Buie and Brooks Barnhizer each scored 19 points in the victory.  The Wildcats improved to 17-and-7 overall and 8-and-5 in the Big Ten.  They host number-one Purdue on Sunday.

>>Illinois Takes On Rutgers

(Champaign, IL)  —  The Illinois Fighting Illini will try to get back in the win column when they host Rutgers at State Farm Center tomorrow.  The Illini are coming off an 81-79 loss to Iowa last Saturday.  Illinois is tied for sixth-place in the Big Ten with a 7-and-5 conference record and a  16-and-7 mark overall.

>>Irish Play Against Virginia Tech

(South Bend, IN)  —  The Notre Dame Fighting Irish look to snap a two-game losing streak when they host Virginia Tech at Joyce Center tomorrow.  The Irish lost to Georgia Tech 70-68 on Wednesday.  It was their sixth loss in their last seven games.  Notre Dame is in 13th place in the ACC with a 2-and-11 conference record and a 10-and-14 mark overall.

(Undated)  —  In other college hoops action tomorrow, Bradley hosts Murray State, Valparaiso welcomes Illinois State, and Northern Illinois is at home against Western Michigan.
