A problem at LaSalle Station didn’t affect nuclear power generation last night. Constellation Energy spokesman Brett Nauman says a heating unit problem put smoke in the air in the main access facility. The Marseilles and Seneca fire departments sent trucks and personnel to make sure there were no problems. The daily incident report from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission doesn’t mention the incident. The NRC’s daily power level report shows no changes for the two reactors at LaSalle Station.
