In Local Sports, tonight right here on 1430 WCMY and 93.5 FM the Marquette Crusaders will take on the Serena Huskers at Bader Gym. Tip is scheduled for 7 with the broadcast beginning at 6:50. In boys high school hoops action last night, Serena rolled IMSA 64-47. Tanner Faivre led with 20. In girls high school hoops action last night, Streator lost to Reed Custer 35-18, Hall beat Kewanee 51-47, St. Bede fell to Bureau Valley 57-51, Serena beat IMSA 51-7. Jenna Setchell led with 12. Paisley Twait and Makayla McNally added eight apiece. The Marquette Lady Cru won over Flanagan-Cornell/Woodland 74-41. Lily Craig scored 17 and Chloe Larson added 16 for the Cru.

>>Bulls Defeat Spurs For Third Straight Win

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Bulls dominated the fourth quarter en route to a 128-104 victory over the visiting San Antonio Spurs at United Center.  Chicago outscored the Spurs 38-to-19 in the fourth after entering the quarter with a five-point lead.  Nikola Vucevic led the way for Chicago with 22 points and 12 rebounds.  Andre Drummond chipped in 21 points and 15 boards off the bench while shooting 9-for-9 from the field.  The Bulls notched their third win in-a-row to improve to 26-and-27.  Chicago visits Memphis tonight.

>>Illinois Game Gets Canceled

(Champaign, IL)  —  The Illinois Fighting Illini’s game against the Minnesota Gophers tonight has been postponed.  The Gophers are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak and are unable to take the floor.  The Big Ten is planning to reschedule the game, but no new date has been announced.  Illinois’ next scheduled game is at home against Rutgers on Saturday.  In other program news, the Illini dropped out of the top-25 in yesterday’s coaches poll.

>>Blackhawks Host Ducks

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Blackhawks begin the second half of the season with a game against the Anaheim Ducks at United Center tonight.  Chicago is looking for a fresh start in the second half after losing three of its last four games leading up to the All-Star break.  The Blackhawks are in last-place in the Central Division with 34 points and a 15-29-and-4 record.
