In Local Sports, tonight right here on 1430 WCMY and 93.5 FM the Marquette Lady Cru will take on Putnam County. Tip is scheduled for 7 with the broadcast beginning at 6:50. In high school girls hoops action, Earlville lost to Amboy 54-28, Lasalle-Peru fell to Bloomington Central Catholic 69-50, and the Ottawa Lady Pirates rolled Streator 56-15. Morgan Stone led with 14 and Grace Carroll chipped in with 12. In other local sports, the Shepherd 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams beat Mendota. 7th grade won in three sets and were led by Meredith Waldron with 10 points, 1 kill and 1 dig. Libbee Hoffman and Zoey Torress chipped in 6 points. The 8th grade won in two sets; they were led by Greysyn Carrier with 11 points and 1 dig. Piper Lewis added 4 points and 3 kills.

>>Bulls Host Hornets

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Chicago Bulls will try to break out of a funk when they host the Charlotte Hornets at the United Center tonight.  The Bulls lost to the Clippers on Tuesday.  It was their third defeat in their last four contests.  Chicago is in 11th-place in the Eastern Conference with a 23-and-27 record.  The Bulls are 1-and-1 against the Hornets, who are owned by Chicago legend Michael Jordan.  Tonight’s game tips off at 7:00PM.

>>Bears Add To Coaching Staff

(Lake Forest, IL)  —  The Chicago Bears are bringing in four new coaches.  The team announced that Jon Hoke, Zach Cable, Isaiah Harris, and Pierre Ngo were hired yesterday.  Hoke will be the cornerbacks coach and passing game coordinator, Cable is the new offensive quality control coach, Harris will run strength and conditioning, and Ngo will be his assistant.  In other Bears news, Albert Breer is reporting that the team is expected to trade its first-overall pick before the NFL Draft in April. 

>>Northwestern Takes On Michigan

(Evanston, IL)  —  The Northwestern Wildcats aim to avoid a season-sweep by the Michigan Wolverines when the two teams square off at Welsh-Ryan Arena tonight.  The Wildcats lost to the Iowa Hawkeyes 86-70 on Tuesday.  The defeat ended their three-game winning streak.  Northwestern enters the contest as the fourth-place team in the Big Ten with a 6-and-4 conference mark and a 15-and-6 overall record.  Tonight’s game tips off at 6:00PM.

(Undated)  —  In college hoops action yesterday, Bradley beat Southern Illinois 62-52, Illinois State took down UIC 68-62 in overtime.
