The new ground floor office for the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce has been getting more visitors than the fourth floor location used to have. Executive Director Jeff Hettrick cut the ribbon for the new location in the Illinois Valley Community College Community Center this morning. In two-and-a-half weeks, he’s had nine visitors. He got only three per month previously.
Hettrick hopes to have an intern help with marketing. Being inside a college building might make recruitment easy.
The new office is smaller. Hettrick says the Chamber didn’t need as much space as it had in the First Federal Savings Bank building.
