Deer hunters are now allowed to use some rifles in Illinois. Illinois Department of Natural Resources Capt. John Williamson says there are bullet size, jacket length, and capacity restrictions. The rifle must be a single shot firearm. The idea is to keep the power down to what’s used in handgun deer hunts so bullets don’t fly too far.
