In Local Sports, last night right here on 1430 WCMY and 93.5 FM the Marquette Crusaders rolled Roanoke-Benson 63-26 to advance to the Tri-County Championship game. Krew Bond led with 13. Tommy Durdan and Griffin Walker added 12 apiece for the Cru. In other high school boys hoops action, Seneca won over Dwight 80-53. Paxton Giertz had 25 to lead Seneca. Serena fell to Plano 56-39. Cam Figgens led with 8 for the Huskers. Earlville lost to Flanagan-Cornell 47-44. In grade school volleyball Marquette beat Wallace in 6,7, and 8th grades. 6th won in three sets. Leading the 6th graders was Ady Boaz with 9 points 6 aces, Mackenzie Hamm added 9 points 4 aces and Kallyn Diss 8 points 3 aces. The 7th grade won in two sets, leading them was Dixie Smick with 13 points and 3 aces. Kinley Rick added 6 kills. 8th grade won in two sets, leading for them was  Emily Ryan Adair with 8 points 3 aces and 5 digs. Hunter Hopkins served up 5 aces and led the offense with 17 assists. 

>>Bulls Visit Hornets

(Charlotte, NC)  —  The Bulls continue their three-game road trip with a game against the Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center tonight.  The Bulls lost to the Indiana Pacers 116-110 on Tuesday to snap a three-game winning streak.  Chicago is in tenth-place in the Eastern Conference with a 22-and-25 record.  Tonight’s game tips off at 6:30PM.

>>Northwestern Beats Nebraska

(Lincoln, NE)  —  The Northwestern Wildcats beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers for the seventh time in a row with a 78-63 victory last night.  The Wildcats had a 13-point lead at halftime and led by double-digits for the entire second half.  Ty Berry poured in 26 points during the victory, and Boo Buie finished the game with 17.  Northwestern improved to 14-and-5 overall and 5-and-3 in the Big Ten.  The Wildcats host Minnesota on Saturday.

>>Blackhawks Take On Calgary

(Calgary, AB)  —  The Blackhawks will try to avoid a third-straight loss when they visit the Calgary Flames tonight.  The Blackhawks are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.  Chicago remains in last place in the Central Division with 32 points and a 14-28-and-4 record.
