In Local Sports, last night right here on 1430 WCMY and 93.5 FM the Marquette Lady Cru fell to Seneca 68-62 in overtime. Avery Durdan led Marquette with 23 and Chloe Larson added 15. Alyssa Zellers scored 21 and Kennedy Hartwig led with 24 for Seneca. In other girls high school hoops action, Wilmington beat Streator 52-39, Earlville defeated Yorkville Christian 42-19, Princeton won over Hall 46-32, St. Bede rolled Mendota 56-36, and Ottawa crushed Rochelle 47-16. In local boys hoops action last night Morris won over Newark 60-45, Seneca rolled Lowpoint-Washburn 62-23, and the Marquette Crusaders defeated Woodland 68-39. Tommy Durdan led with 17 and Logan Nelson added 10 for the Cru. In other local sports, the LPO swim team beat Kewanee but lost to Washington in a triangular meet. Winners for LPO included Tucker Ditchfield, Chris Lowery, Brian Lowery, Owen Phillips, Jonathon Neu, and Bo Weitl. In grade school volleyball, Shepherd 7th grade beat Marquette 25-23 and 25-23 in two sets Meredith Waldron led with 8 points. Libee Hoffman and Laine Allen added five apiece. The 8th grade lost to Marquette 16-25 and 18-25. Annabelle Johnson led with 4 and Greyson Carrier added 2.

(Chicago, IL) — The Bulls dominated the fourth quarter en route to a 111-100 win over the Atlanta Hawks at United Center. The Bulls outscored the Hawks 33-22 after the game was tied heading into the final frame. DeMar DeRozan poured in 26 points in the victory, while Zach LaVine chipped in with 20. Chicago is in tenth place in the Eastern Conference at 22-and-24. The Bulls visit Indiana tonight.

(Evanston, IL) — The Northwestern Wildcats snapped a two-game losing streak by beating Wisconsin 66-63 at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Matthew Nicholson hit a pair of free throws with just over two minutes left in regulation to give Northwestern the lead for good. Boo Buie led the way with 20 points, and Chase Audige finished the night with 16. Northwestern improved to 13-and-5 overall and 4-and-3 in the Big Ten. The Wildcats are at Nebraska tomorrow night.

(Champaign, IL) — The Illinois Fighting Illini aim to get back above .500 in the Big Ten when they host Ohio State at State Farm Center tonight. The Illini dropped out of the top-25 in yesterday’s coaches poll after losing to Indiana 80-65 last Thursday. Illinois is 13-and-6 overall and 4-and-4 in Big Ten play.

Chicago had a three-game winning streak by the Los Angeles Kings in a 2-1 loss on Sunday. The Blackhawks are in last place in the Central Division with 32 points and a 14-27-and-4 record.
