In Local Sports, tonight right here on 1430 WCMY and 93.5 FM the Marquette Lady Cru will host Seneca at Bader Gym. Tip is scheduled for 7 with the broadcast beginning at 6:50. Saturday on 1430 WCMY and 93.5 FM the Ottawa Pirates fell to the number one team in class 2A Princeton 58-38. Levi Sheehan and Cooper Knoll scored 10 apiece for Ottawa. In other high school boys hoops, Streator beat Rochelle 75-69, and Marquette defeated Somonauk 78-47. Tommy Durdan led with 18 and Krew Bond added 10. In high school girls hoops action, Marquette won over Henry-Senachwine 54-31. Lily Craig led with 25 and Eva McCallum added nine for the Lady Cru. In other local sports, the Ottawa boys wrestling team took 4th place at the Interstate 8 conference tournament. Ivan Munoz of Ottawa was the lone champion for the Pirates.

(Chicago, IL) — The Bulls return from Paris to host the Atlanta Hawks at United Center tonight. The Bulls beat Detroit 126-108 across the pond on Thursday. Chicago is in tenth-place in the Eastern Conference with a 21-and-24 record, while Atlanta is in eighth place at 24-and-23.

(South Bend, IN) — The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are on a three-game losing streak following an 84-72 loss to Boston College at Joyce Center on Saturday. The Irish were outscored by 11 points in the second half after trailing by just one point at the break. Nate Laszewski poured in 29 points in the losing effort. Notre Dame dropped to 9-and-11 overall and 1-and-8 in the ACC. The Irish visit NC State tomorrow night.

(Evanston, IL) — The Northwestern Wildcats are back in action after having their last two contests postponed. They host Wisconsin at Welsh-Ryan Arena tonight. The Wildcats are on a two-game losing streak after falling to Michigan 85-78 on January 15th. They’re 12-and-5 overall and 3-and-3 in the Big Ten Conference.

(Chicago, IL) — The Blackhawks had their three-game winning streak snapped with a 2-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings at United Center. The Blackhawks were held to just 19 shots in the losing effort. Ian Mitchell scored Chicago’s only goal late in the third period. The Blackhawks remain in last place in the Central Division with 32 points and a 14-27-and-4 record. They visit the Canucks tomorrow night.
