The United Way of Eastern LaSalle County is getting $57,213 from the Department of Homeland Security for emergency food and shelter. For the next month, the agency will take applications from local social service providers. Those providers can help connect people with housing, utility payment help, and other services. They have to meet certain accounting standards to qualify. The applications are due February 20th.
