Tip is set for 6:30 with the broadcast beginning at 6:20. In girls high school hoops action last night, Lasalle-Peru beat Morris 48-40 and the Ottawa Lady Pirates rolled Plano 43-18. Marlie Orlandi led with 17 and Morgan Stone added nine for Ottawa. In boys high school hoops action, Earlville defeated Alden-Hebron 66-37. In other local sports, the LPO swim team won over Olympia and Mahomet-Seymour. Winners for LPO included Owen Phillips, Chris Lowery, Brian Lowery, Tucker Ditchfield, and Jonathan Neu.

The Blackhawks still have a lot of ground to make up in the Central Division. They remain in last-place with 28 points and a 12-26-and-4 record.

(Lake Forest, IL) — Justin Fields is taking home a pair of awards from the Bears. The team named him its MVP and its offensive player of the year yesterday. Fields started at quarterback in 15 games for the 3-and-14 Bears. He passed for 2,242 yards and 17 touchdowns while running for 1,143 yards and eight scores in his sophomore campaign.
