A Sheridan man has been found unfit for trial. 55-year old Jeffery Plique is accused of shooting a 63-year old man in the leg at the Sheridan Food Mart and shooting at another man in October last year. He then allegedly caused a ten-hour standoff at a home on Church St. Police were able to get him out with tear gas. Assistant State’s Attorney Jeremiah Adams says Plique could be mentally fit within a year. He was turned over to the Illinois Department of Health and Humans Services.
