Prices are going up in the Ottawa Elementary School District. The school board approved increases for next year’s breakfasts, lunches, gym clothing, and graduation gowns. Parents will pay $1 more for lunches which were increased to $3. It will now cost $1.60 for breakfast which is a 10 cent increase. It will cost more for gym clothes because a t-shirt will cost $16, which is a $2 increase. Graduation gowns will also increase from $23 to $25. Supt. Michelle Lee says the state requires the price increase for the food. She also says the company that supplies the gym uniforms is charging the district more.
