Ottawa City Hall is taking names and information for the veterans banner program again. City Commissioner Marla Pearson says there’s room for 62 banners downtown. About 87 people asked for them last year.
The approximately 25 people who didn’t get banners last year are first on the list this year. Pearson says because of the limits, a veteran who got a banner last year won’t be able to this year. The program is free because of one donor covering it all.
