A Streator man could be going to trial in February. 27-year old Gabriel Benitez is accused of failing to report an accident involving death in May last year. Benitez allegedly hit 45-year old Carl J. Telford with his SUV on IL 351 south of LaSalle. The hit ended up killing Telford. Benitez is scheduled to be back in court on February 23rd. His new trial date is set for February 27th.
