Seneca business owner hopes someone recognizes something in security photos of trailer thefts

Paul Smith says he has insurance, but the theft of four flatbed trailers from his Seneca business is frustrating for more people than himself and his employees. An S & P Carriages Trailer Sales customer from Las Vegas had waited three months for an order. The trailer he was ready to pick up is one that got taken.

Smith says thieves took the trailers the morning of December 23rd when the temperatures were below zero and snow was falling. The thieves hid their license plates behind snow plows or snow packs on the bumpers. But one of the trucks the thieves used had modifications that make it distinct. And some of the trailers were unusual.

Smith says there’ll be a substantial reward for someone who can help Seneca police catch the thieves. He’s been in business since 1999 and says nothing like this has happened before.
