One of the leaders in patient experience in the country is OSF St. Paul Medical Center in Mendota. The hospital was named as a 2022 Human Experience Guardian of Excellence Award winner for being in the top 5% of healthcare providers in delivering patient experience in the emergency department. The award is through a healthcare performance improvement company called Press Ganey, which works with 41,000 other healthcare groups to improve the care of people in the hospital. CEO Patrick T. Ryan says by putting patients forward, the medical center is demonstrating their unwavering commitment to their employees and to the communities they serve.
