In other high school boys hoops action yesterday, Seneca pulled out a win over Serena 58-57. Paxton Giertz had 20 to lead Seneca and Richie Armour scored 19 for Serena. Hall lost to Lexington 59-41,Wilmington defeated Earlville 50-44, St. Bede fell to Dwight 69-68, and Streator was rolled by Burlington Central 72-36. In local girls high school hoops, Serena pulled out a win over Hall 31-23. Jenna Setchell had 8. Putnam County beat St. Bede 38-25, St. Bede also lost to Fieldcrest 73-46. Seneca fell to Fieldcrest 59-43. The Marquette Lady Crusaders won over Kewanee 40-31. Lily Craig scored 27 to lead Marquette.

(Chicago, IL) — The Bulls overcame a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 119-113 in overtime at United Center. Ayo Dosunmu tied the game with a fastbreak dunk with under eight seconds left in regulation to send the game to an extra frame, where DeMar DeRozan hit a go-ahead jumper with 31 seconds left to put Chicago up for good. DeRozan scored 42 points and had ten rebounds, and Zach LaVine chipped in with 24 points. The Bulls have won four of their last five. They’re tied for tenth-place in the Eastern Conference at 15-and-19. Chicago hosts Detroit tomorrow night.
