The Friends of Dayton Bluffs group is inviting anyone interested in getting to know the place to a hike Sunday at 8am. It’s called the First Day Hike, because it’s happening on the first day of the new year. You don’t have to register and it’s free. Volunteer Jim Reilly says even if you can’t make it for a guided hike, you can find your way around.
Dayton Bluffs is along Illinois 71 going northeast out of Ottawa. Reilly spoke on a WCMY interview show with Jay LeSeure Wednesday morning.
