LaSalle County Coroner Rich Ploch has identified the victims of the Saturday morning house fire in Ottawa. Forty-four year old Arthelia M. Brewer and her three-year old daughter Melani Embry were found in a bedroom. They suffered smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide exposure. A teenage boy who lived with them in the building in the 1500 block of Sycamore St. survived and was taken to a hospital with smoke inhalation. The fire happened in one of the apartments in the house.
