For the next ten years, LaSalle County will be represented by five Illinois House members, three Illinois State Senators, and two members of Congress. One of our top stories of 2022 is the redistricting that took effect. Cong. Adam Kinzinger is leaving office, disheartened at the direction the Republican Party has gone in since Donald Trump ran for president. The county’s representation in the U.S. House is now split between Democrat Lauren Underwood and Republican Darin LaHood. Democrat Lance Yednock continues to represent part of the area in the Illinois House as does Republican Sue Rezin in the Illinois Senate. On a much smaller scale, many LaSalle County residents have different County Board members because of new districts.
