Illinois had the highest response to the Census of Agriculture five years ago. Mark Schleusener, a statistician with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, hopes the state’s farmers do it again. He says online responses save postage.
Farmers who can’t or don’t want to respond online can mail in the forms. They’ve been mailed to ag producers across the country since earlier this month.
