Local Farm Family of the Year has ag roots seven generations deep

Seven generations of the same family have lived on and worked a farm in Otter Creek Township since 1851. The Isermanns are the LaSalle County Soil and Water Conservation District’s Farm Family of the Year. Dave and Sue Isermann are the fifth generation. Their adult son Jim and Jim’s three children are generations six and seven. The family raises no-till soybeans and avoids using fall fertilizers except for manure and bedding from their cattle.
