Coronavirus weekly report: no new fatal cases in LaSalle County

Reporting a day early because of the weather, the LaSalle County Health Department says there were no fatal coronavirus cases in the county since last Friday. The figures issued Thursday say there were 162 new cases and 82 recoveries during the six-day period. Current cases number 1,209, continuing a mostly upward trend since Thanksgiving. Total cases have reached 35,895 and recoveries 34,686. LaSalle County remains at the low community spread level in the CDC’s reckoning.
