Last night on Monday Night Football, The Packers are keeping their postseason hopes alive after beating the Rams 24-12 in Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers threw for 229 yards, one touchdown and an interception in the victory.
AJ Dillon rushed for a pair of scores, while Aaron Jones ran for 90 yards and also caught a touchdown pass. Green Bay has won two straight to improve to 6-and-8. Los Angeles won’t be returning to the Super Bowl after being eliminated from postseason contention. The Rams slipped to 4-and-10.

The Bears are getting a key piece of their running game back. Khalil Herbert will be activated from injured reserve before their game this weekend. Herbert injured his hip during a kick return on November 13th, and he has missed the last four games. The Bears host the Bills on Christmas Eve.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts suffered a sprain to his right shoulder against the Bears. The injury is not considered to be a long-term injury. Veteran Gardner Minshew will get the start in Saturday’s game at the Dallas Cowboys if Hurts is unable to play.
AND.. Jonathan Taylor’s season has likely come to an end. The Colts’ running back is feared to have a high ankle sprain and seems “likely” to miss the remaining three games of the season. Indianapolis will host the LA Chargers in Week 16 on Monday Night Football.
The Chicago Bulls will try to avoid their fifth-straight loss when they visit the Miami Heat at FTX Arena tonight. The Bulls are coming off a 150-126 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. The Bulls are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference with an 11-and-18 record.
In college hoops action yesterday, Bradley crushed Stone Hill and Illinois State beat Chicago State. Today, Northern Illinois hosts Albany, The Northwestern Wildcats have another Chicagoland showdown when they host UIC at Welsh-Ryan Arena tonight.
The latest college basketball coaches poll has been released and Purdue is once again the top team in the rankings. UConn, Houston, Kansas and Arizona close out the rest of the top five.
The Fighting Illini moved up three spots to earn the number-16 ranking. The Illini won the only game they played last week against Alabama A&M. Illinois takes on Mizzou in St. Louis on Thursday.

The Chicago Cubs inked right handed pitcher Jameson Taillon to a four-year contract worth 68-millions dollars yesterday. The 31 year old pitcher had a solid season in 2022, going 14-and-5 with 151 strikeouts in 177-and-a-third innings with the Yankees.
