If you need a place to go on Christmas Day, Open Table United Church of Christ in Ottawa is inviting anyone to their Christmas Dinner. It starts on Sunday at noon with food including ham, roast turkey, rolls, and homemade side dishes like mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, and desserts. The church is also welcoming everyone to join their Christmas service starting at 10am. After service, the church will remain open between 11 and noon for those who want to stay or come early for the dinner. The church is located on the corner of Jackson and Columbus St. The church asks that people use the Jackson St. entrance. Pastor Jennifer Amy Dressler says the congregation hopes if people need a place to go and people to be with on Christmas, they’ll join either to worship or to experience the blessings of the community as they enjoy a traditional Christmas meal.
