UPDATE Wednesday evening, December 14: The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Department says a Chicago man is at a hospital in Peoria. Dwayne Corley was taken from the crash scene at Illinois 18 and E. 12th Rd. to Morris Hospital and then to OSF St. Francis Medical Center. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Iowa City, Iowa on Monday. Police from Ottawa, Grand Ridge, and Streator tried to stop Corley. No charges have been announced.
A man is in the hospital after a police pursuit ended near Streator Tuesday morning. Police say the pursuit started in Ottawa before it ended in Streator. It’s believed that the car was stolen out of Iowa. The car crashed near IL 18. It’s not known which hospital the man was taken to after. We’ll have more information when it becomes available.
