Tracy Morris is the candidate the Illinois Valley Community College Board of Trustees wants to hire to be the college’s next president. Board chair Everett Solon says a special meeting will be called sometime during the next week to hire her. She’ll work alongside the retiring Jerry Corcoran in April, May, and June. Then she’ll take over his duties on July 1.
Morris will be the first graduate of IVCC from when it was named IVCC to be its president. Al Wisgoski graduated when it was LPO Junior College and was president from 1974 to 1996.
Morris is currently the Compliance Officer at Joliet Junior College. She was the IVCC Vice President of Student Services from 2010 to 2014.
