Charges approved in shooting incident near Starved Rock State Park

A man accused of shooting another man southwest of Ottawa last month is charged with aggravated battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm. A grand jury yesterday approved those charges against 39-year old Thomas Reynolds of Ottawa. The other man was hit in the upper leg area and was treated at a hospital. The incident happened outside a home along Illinois 71 near Starved Rock State Park. Reynolds is scheduled to be in court with an attorney on Dec. 15.
