The city of LaSalle could get a new economic development and tourism website. The city approved applying for a $20,000 Illinois Travel and Tourism grant to create it last week. Deputy City Clerk Brent Bader says the city hasn’t applied for the grant yet, but the website would be used for bringing in tourists and businesses. He says the city’s current website is functional but doesn’t serve the purpose that the new one would.
Economic Development Director Curt Bedei says the website would help residents who move to the area know what’s around the city.
If the city gets the grant, Bedei says the website should be done sometime in 2023.
