Robert D. Austino, 78 of Streator passed away Sunday (December 4, 2022) at Heritage Health, Streator.
Per his request, there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Robert was born on May 24, 1944, in Streator to Robert D. and Veronica (Corcoran) Austino. He married Karen Christensen on January 10, 1969. she survives.
Also surviving is a son, Mike (Kari) Austino of Streator, daughter Amy Garretson of Gridley, grandson Hunter Garretson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sandra Almanza.
Robert graduated from Streator High School and had served in the US Army. He retired from the Times Press Newspaper. Robert was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed watching all sports.
