Women Inspired Network awards grants for infant sleep sacks and youth center food

The Safe Sleep for Infants Program is getting $10,000 to buy more than 1,000 sleep sacks for babies to prevent sudden infant death syndrome. And the Spring Valley Youth Center is getting $4,000 for its evening meals program. The Women Inspired Network announced the grants.

Ashley Lamps of Peru started the Aden Lamps Foundation and the Safe Sleep for Infants Program. She doesn’t want other parents to endure the grief she did when her five-month old son died in 2013.

Danielle Wildhart and Laura Dubberstine started the Spring Valley Youth Center earlier this year for young people to connect with each other and have fun. They say feeding the kids is an important part of the program.
