The LaSalle County Health Department reports three more fatal coronavirus cases since the middle of last week. That brings the county to 502 and 1.4% of the total 35,399. New cases numbered 208 and recoveries numbered 186.
It’s the fifth consecutive week for the case count to rise. Current cases numbered 1,076 as of the Friday report.
This week’s report covered a nine-day period, because last week’s report came early due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The CDC says LaSalle County is still at the low level for community spread of the virus.
