Thursday is World Aids Day. It’s a day of solidarity for people around the world who are affected by the disease. And the LaSalle County Health Department is reminding those affected what they can do to help. The department offers free, confidential HIV testing and counseling services to people at risk over the age of 12 with an appointment. If you want to make an appointment you can call 815-433-3366. The disease can be spread during the exchange of some bodily fluids through unprotected sex or sharing needles. Over 32 million people worldwide have died from the virus.
