Mendota police say two people were found dead in a home in the 300 block of 9th Ave. Tuesday afternoon. Austin P. Sessler was 24 years old. Cameron P. Given was 19. Both are from Mendota and their bodies were found inside Sessler’s home. A statement from Police Chief Gregory S. Kellen doesn’t say how the men died but says it’s still under investigation.

People who don’t live in the 300 block of Ninth Ave. in Mendota were told yesterday they can’t go there. Residents are being allowed in while police and the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office investigate at least one death. The Mendota Police Department says there’s no threat to anyone.
