Weekly COVID report: current case up for the last month; one additional death

The LaSalle County Health Department says a man in his 90’s has died from COVID-19 this past week. He is the 499th death from the virus in the county. For the last month, COVID-19 cases have continued to go up. The health department reported 1,147 current cases this week. There were 122 new cases, which is down from last week. But there were only 77 recoveries. LaSalle County remains in the low community spread level according to the Center for Disease Control, even with rising current cases.
